Overall Review

The 2015 Audi A3 is available in two trims, one of which is a front-wheel drive and comes equipped with a 1.8-liter engine and the other which is an all-wheel drive that comes equipped with a 220 HP, 2.0-Liter engine. Both these trims come with a turbocharger, direct-injected system, six-speed auto-shift manual transmission, aluminum heads, and iron blocks. However, in this review, we will be discussing about the 1.8-liter engine trim.

The Audi A3 doesn’t fail to impress its fans and proves to be a vehicle of both class and style. The interior and exterior styling of the car have simply taken the cake and changed the overall look of the Audi A3. Performance wise, the vehicle appears to be a beast on the road, but if you are looking for a little extra power, then the convertible and hatchback models are also available, which come equipped with a larger and powerful engine.

Performance

The 2015 Audi A3 runs on a transverse-engine architecture which goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 7.2 seconds. Not to mention, with the launch and stability control features, the vehicle definitely proves to be smooth on the road. The engine is capable of hitting a top speed of over 130 mph and with the direct-injection fuel system the vehicle is incredibly fuel–efficient, giving up to 31 mpg in the city and 43 mpg on the highway.

Exterior

The 2015 Audi A3 hits the road as a luxury sedan. In terms of exterior styling, the A3 is similar to its A4 counterpart and looks as compact inside and out like previous A3 models. The headlights have been switched to LED and the front-end of the vehicle has a sportier look, as compared to the previous A3s. You can see a lot of detailing and attention to the sheet metal and surfacing of the vehicle and the vehicle overall looks a little ‘roundish’.

Interior

Taking a look at the interior of the Audi A3, there’s nothing much you can say other than that it is luxurious and awesome. The somewhat cluttered look of the previous A3’s instrumental panels has now been eliminated and replaced by a clean and highly intuitive panel. The layout too seems pretty different and is dominated by a new seven-inch HD screen, round vents, and a trio of small climate-control knobs and buttons.

Features

The new 2015 Audi A3 doesn’t lack any important features. It comes with numerous necessary and handy features, including a seven-inch HD screen, GPS system which supports Google Earth and Google Street View, leather upholstery, satellite radio, HD radio, Bluetooth audio streaming, dual-zone automatic climate control, power driver’s seat, Facebook and Twitter Alerts and more.

Safety

The new 2015 Audi A3 comes equipped with all standard safety features which you can expect from a small, luxury sedan adding that up with a few new active-safety options. It comes with 6 airbags, blind-spot mirrors, anti-lock brakes, adaptive cruise control, and a pre-collision restraint preparation. The (NHTSA) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the Audi A3 four stars on overall safety, four on frontal impact, and five on side impact. In other categories, such as Top Safety and Highway Safety, the vehicle earned top ratings.

All in all, the 2015 Audi A3 is an excellent luxury vehicle which comes at a decent price. So, if you are looking for a luxury sedan, the 2015 Audi A3 should be at the top of your list.
