Porsche is perhaps the first brand which comes to mind when you think about exotic sports cars. It has earned a reputation by producing some of the best sports cars year after year. However, two factors which put off many potential buyers Porsche is the waiting time and different models. If you are ordering a Porsche, you should be patient enough for the company to deliver the car, and they take their sweet time over it. On the other hand, the abbreviations and range of models is enough to confuse the best of us.

Thankfully, Porsche tried to overcome both weaknesses with their Boxster GTS 2015 model. It has streamlined the ordering process and kept the abbreviation simple. GTS stands for Grand Turismo Sports. There are still other abbreviations you will have to deal with, such as PDLS (Porsche Dynamic Light Systems) and PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), but this time it is easier.

Design

If you are looking for a stylish sports car with a Porsche moniker on it, the 2015 Porsche Boxster will win your fancy. With its unique front and rear bumper, black headlights, and 20-inch wheels, it is bound to make heads turn. The leather interior adds to the overall feel of the car. The seat cushions, handles, steering wheel, and rim are made from soft material and feel great to the touch.

Handling

The steering does not disappoint either. In fact, it delivers an excellent response. The structure of the steering is solid and offers a good grip. The road grip and braking of this car is also amazing. In tests, this car decelerated from 70 mph to 0 within 150 feet. You will enjoy a smooth ride thanks to the innovative PASM shocks, which perform brilliantly on the road.

Engine and Speed

Equipped with an impressive PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission system, the Boxster GTS goes from zero to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds, which is extremely impressive. Besides this, it passes the quarter mile in 12.6 seconds at the speed of 112 miles per hour. The results are slightly better than the previous model and put it in the same league as other more expensive sports cars.

The Porsche Boxster GTS 2015 comes in a variety of models, each with a different engine variant. There are 5 different versions of its 3.4-liter engine. The engine produces 330 horsepower, sufficient enough to fulfill the desire to rev up your sports car, but without producing too much noise, which is a great feature.

Price

The base model is priced at around $53,000, which is low when you compare it with other sports cars. However, the additional features and interior and exteriors add-ons will add around $15,000 to the price tag, should you opt for them. Although you can buy an advanced model with all the bells and whistles but obviously you will have pay a lot more for that. Even the advanced models are quite affordable especially when you compare them with other cars in the same segment.

Overall, the Porsche Boxster GTS is all-round sports car which covers all bases. There are some ergonomic issues that the company should iron out but otherwise, it is one of the best sports cars you can buy under $ 100,000. What’s more, it is available in a range of stunning colors, including red and blue, which adds to the visual appeal of the car.
