One of the best car manufacturers today is Kia. Vehicles manufactured by Kia are fuel efficient and luxurious. The best part is that they are not as expensive as other luxury cars out there. One of the best sedans in Kia’s fleet is the Optima. Not only is it economical and comfortable, but the car looks amazing as well. The 2015 Kia Optima is one of the best vehicles of its kind. A common misconception regarding cars such as the Optima is that they do not deliver performance. But in the case of the 2015 Kia Optima, you can expect economy and power at the same time. Let’s look at the all new Optima in detail:

Engine Specifications

To suit different driving tastes, Kia has introduced two engine variants across the 5 trims of the Optima. Each engine variant delivers exceptional power. The first engine variant is an Inline-type with four cylinders. This engine has a capacity of 2.4 liters. The second engine variant in the 2015 Kia Optima is also an Inline type with four cylinders. This engine has a capacity of 2.0 liters. This engine may not come across as being able to deliver much power but Kia has equipped the smaller engine variant with an Intercooled Turbo system. This allows the 2.0-liter variant to dish out more power than the 2.4-liter engine variant.

Engine Performance

Both engine variants of the 2015 Kia Optima deliver exceptional power. The 2.4-liter engine variant can dish out an astounding 192 ponies. In spite of the immense power it generates, the car provides 22 miles to each gallon within the city. If you are driving on the highway, you can get around 34 miles to a gallon. The 2.0-liter Intercooled Turbocharged engine is rated to produce more horsepower. At 6,000 RPMs, you can easily expect 274 ponies and 269 pounds of torque per feet. The best part is that even though this engine produces more horsepower, the gas mileage is slightly less than that of the 2.4-liter variant. You can get a combined gas mileage of around 24 miles to a gallon.

Transmission Options

The transmission variant across all trims of the 2015 Kia Optima is uniform. The standard transmission in the Optima is the 6-speed auto. This transmission is equipped with the Sportmatic technology. This transmission delivers a crisp and seamless gear shifting experience.

Interior Styling

The first thing that will catch your attention once you look inside the 2015 Kia Optima is the steering wheel. The steering wheel has a unique design and the large KIA emblem in the center looks rather appealing. It offers controls for music and buttons that allow you to answer calls. The seats are quite comfortable and there is sufficient leg room for the rear passengers. You can easily seat 5 passengers in the 2015 Kia Optima which makes it ideal for a small family. The finishing of the door trims and the seats is impeccable. Each and every aspect boasts of attention to detail.

Exterior Design

The design of the Optima was recently revised and the car received a complete facelift. This is why you may not see a significant change in the 2015 Kia Optima. However, there are a few fresh aspects to the new Optima’s design. In some cases, you have to tweak the appearance of a brand new car to make it more aesthetically appealing. But in the case of the 2015 Kia Optima, you can be sure it will appear classy right out of the dealership.

All in all, the looks are amazing and the car drives like a charm. Not only you, but your family too will love the ride.
