Overview

The 2015 Ford Mustang is the sixth generation of this iconic, beautiful and incredibly powerful car. The car is available in two trims: coupe ($23,800) and convertible ($29,300) and can be purchased in numerous configurations, including a V6 automatic, EcoBoost Automatic, EcoBoost Manual, GT Automatic, GT Manual, GT Premium Automatic, GT Premium Manual, and GT 50 Years Limited Edition Automatic and Manual. So, it definitely seems like Ford has gone the extra mile for the new Mustang!

Performance

The 2015 Ford Mustang is the best performer of all the generations built by the company. The base model features a regular unleaded V-6, 3.7-liter engine that is capable of delivering an impressive 300 horsepower and torque of 280 lb-ft. The direct fuel-injection system enhances the overall efficiency of the car, thus allowing the 2015 Ford Mustang to deliver 22 MPG in the City and 31 MPG on the Highway. But this doesn’t mean the engine compromises on top speed or acceleration. The direct-fuel injection system and engine combined allow the car to go from 0 to 60 mph within 8 seconds, which is quite remarkable for a base 3.7-liter engine.

Exterior

The 2015 Mustang hits the road as a 2-door coupe. In terms of exterior styling, the Mustang is similar to its previous models but has a more aggressive appearance. The headlights, backlights, side mirrors, tires, rims, front bumpers, side skirts, and back bumpers have all been replaced by new and more stylish ones, thus giving the Mustang a better look than its previous models. The only problem seems to be the tripled-up light pipes that slash at the grille of the vehicle, which gives the car a Miami Vice-era kind of vibe.

Interior

Taking a look at the interior of the 2015 Mustang GT, there’s nothing much you can say other than that it is luxurious and awesome. The car features new leather upholstery, an aviation-themed cabin, and is more organized and spacious, thus eliminating the clattered look of its previous models. Large clear gauges have also been installed and the tactile knobs and toggle switches provide better control.

Features

The new 2015 Ford Mustang does lack in terms of entertainment features. In fact, you will be locked out of the interesting features Ford makes available only on V-8 powered and four-cylinder vehicles. These features include power doors, windows, locks, cruise control, a split folding rear seat, Bluetooth with voice recognition and audio streaming, pushbutton start, and rearview camera. 18-inch wheels, rear parking sensors, and power driver seats are available as options.

Safety

For the first time, Mustang offers cruise control and rear-view cameras as the standard safety features in its Ford Mustang. However, to get to the leading safety features like blind-spot mirrors, adaptive cruise control, and reverse parking sensors, you have to be at least in the mid-range EcoBoost territory. Regardless, the car is completely safe and has achieved a “good” top rating from IIHS and five-star ratings in all primary crash-test categories from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

All in all, the 2015 Ford Mustang is an amazing vehicle that delivers exceptional performance, fuel efficiency and safety at an affordable price. So, if you are looking for a powerful yet affordable vehicle, then the 2015 Ford Mustang should definitely be at the top of your list.
