There is no doubt about the fact that Dodge manufactures some of the finest vehicles. Not only do Dodge vehicles look classy, they are snappy performers too. This year, Dodge has announced the newest beast in its lineup: the 2015 Dodge Challenger.

The specifications that the manufacturer revealed are quite clear on the fact that the car is an absolute beast. The best part about the Challenger is that it is not only meant for the track. It is an ideal vehicle to have as a daily driver. You can take it for a spin on the track every now and then. Let’s look at what this fabulous ride has to offer:

Engine Specifications

When it comes to muscle cars, the most important thing is the engine specifications. It is natural for consumers to expect a massive engine that delivers an exceptional performance. Keeping performance and economy in mind, Dodge has introduced three engine variants. All these engine variants produce immense power, but it is best to do your research before you get one of these for yourself.

The first engine variant of the 2015 Dodge Challenger is the V-6. This engine has a 3.6-liter capacity. The second engine variant is the 5.7-liter Hemi. This engine variant is a V-8. The last engine variant is the staggering 6.4-liter engine which also happens to be a V-8.

Engine Performance

Not only are the specifications of these engines impressive, but they are also excellent in terms of performance. The low-tier engine, which is the 3.6-liter V-8, may seem small, but it certainly packs a punch. This engine delivers an amazing 305 horses. There are quite a few individuals who may not be satisfied with this power. For individuals who desire more power from their machine, Dodge has a 5.7-liter engine variant.

This engine variant generates 375-horsepower and 410 lbs of torque per feet. While this power is sufficient for most enthusiasts, some may still crave for more power. This is where the 6.4-liter HEMI comes in. This engine emits a massive 485 ponies and 475 lbs of torque. Not only are the engines impressive, but the transmission options are intriguing as well.

Transmission Options

There are two transmission variants that have been introduced by Dodge. For the first time ever, you will see an 8-speed auto transmission in a muscle car. This auto transmission is equipped with a mode selector. You can choose between a sport mode and manual mode. This transmission also incorporates the use of paddle shifters.

If you are not too enthusiastic about driving an auto transmission, you can opt for the manual variant. All three engine variants are available in a 6-speed manual transmission as well. The 2015 Dodge Challenger remains true to its legacy and retains the rear wheel drivetrain. New additives include an independent rear-end suspension for a luxury drive.

Interior Styling

For a high-performance muscle car, the 2015 Dodge Challenger has an intriguing interior. The trim is sophisticated and elegant at the same time. Not only is the interior spacious, but it is well designed. The materials used are of the best quality, which is what adds class to this beast.

The steering wheel offers controls for most of the functions in the car. You can even pair your phone and receive calls direct from the steering wheel. The best part about the interior is the instrument panel. The speedometer and the tachometer are designed in a retro fashion. This adds a classic touch to this modern ride.
