The newest entrant in the Crossover Utility Vehicles (CUV) market is the 2014 Subaru Forester. Subaru has been delivering high quality SUVs and sports cars for some time now and their new CUV is no less. The 2014 Forester is expected to hit the market in the months to come. The first look of the car showed how unique it will prove to be among the CUVs already on the market. Exactly like their SUVs, the company has given a whole new dimension to the CUV. Let’s look at the all-new 2014 Subaru Forester XT.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the Forester XT 2014 is unlike any other CUV on the market. The only thing that gives away the fact that the Forester XT 2014 is a CUV is its size. The exterior design of the 2014 Forester is similar to that of a full-size SUV. The grille with the chrome trim enhances the look of the laidback headlamps. The overall look of the Forester XT 2014 boasts style and elegance. The Subaru Forester XT 2014 is available in different variants. There is not much difference between the variants when it comes to style and design. However, each variant offers a different set of features.

For the rear passengers, it has side head airbags. Stability control, traction control and an Anti-Lock Braking System make the Forester XT 2014 a great car to drive on the highway. It provides the ultimate driving experience combined with safety. For enhanced safety, the Forester XT 2014 has a tire pressure monitor and warns the driver if the pressure is low.

The engine of the Forester XT 2014 is available in two specifications based on the variants. One variant of the CUV has a 2.0-liter engine with intercooler turbo. The second variant is available with a 2.5-litre engine. The in-city mileage of the Forester XT is 22 miles per gallon while it goes up to 29 miles to a gallon on the highway. The Forester XT 2014 is available in both manual and automatic transmission.

One of the most noticeable features about the interior of the Forester XT 2014 is the dashboard. The Forester XT feature an elaborate dashboard which seems like it’s carved as one-piece. The long dashboard gives the car a spacious look. The seats of the vehicle are made from a combination of fabric and leather. The trim on the door panels is a fabulous blend of leather and there is also an aluminum door handle. Although the Forester XT 2014 is a CUV, the interior provides a look quite similar to a high-end luxury vehicle.

The steering wheel features buttons for volume control and various other functions around the car. This makes it easier for the driver to access these functions without taking his/her eyes off the road. This is not only a luxury feature but contributes a great deal towards road safety.
