New 2018 Subaru WRX STI Overview
The Subaru WRX and WRX STI received multiple upgrades for 2018. Both get a new suspension tuning for improved steering stability and ride comfort, and restyled front end. The electric power steering system is reengineered. The 6-speed manual transmission has been upgraded. Door seals are been improved, door glass is thicker, and there is a new foam-filled windshield header beam. The multifunction display increased in size to 5.9 inches. The base WRX gets heated side mirrors, and the WRX Premium gets a new 18-inch alloy wheels and upgraded 7-inch STARLINK™ infotainment system. Performance Package for the manual-equipped Premium includes a Recaro® performance 8-way power front-driver seat as a new option, upgraded JURID® brake pads and red-painted calipers, and removes the moonroof. The WRX STI gets an improved DCCD AWD system, improved interior materials, significantly upgraded Brembo® brakes, steering responsive headlamps, revised STI instrument cluster and 19-inch wheels.
