Mitsubishi Outlander Sport returning for 2017 with minor changes to note. The 2WD GT trim is dropped, and the ES trims are available with only the 148-hp 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, leaving ES, SE and SEL trims in 2WD or AWD, and the GT AWD. All trims fitted with a “shark fin” antenna and feature automatic climate control, and seat fabrics upgraded on ES trims. SE, SEL and GT trims continue with the 168-hp 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. The ES 2WD remains available with a 5-speed manual or Sportronic® CVT; all other trims equipped solely with the CVT. SE and higher trims benefit from heated front seats, SiriusXM® radio with a three-month subscription, push-button ignition, fog lights, a 6.1-inch touchscreen audio system with rear-view camera and FAST-Key passive entry system. SEL and GT trims also sport roof rails, leather seats, rain-sensing wipers, auto on/off headlamps and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror with Homelink®.
