New 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Overview
The Mercedes-Benz GLE returns mostly unchanged for 2018, available in GLE350, GLE350 4MATIC, GLE400 4MATIC, GLE550e Plug-in Hybrid 4MATIC, AMG GLE63 and AMG GLE63 S variants, in addition to the AMG GLE43 and GLE63 S Coupe. Both GLE350 trims are equipped with a 302-hp 3.5-liter V6 mated to a 7-speed automatic. The GLE400 4MATIC gets a 3.0-liter biturbo V6 with 329 hp. As for the 4-MATIC-equipped AMG versions, the GLE43 has a 3.0-liter biturbo V6 with 362 hp while the AMG GLE63 and GLE63 S have a 5.5-liter biturbo V8 with 550 hp and 577 hp respectively. Standard features across the lineup include Collision Prevention Assist Plus with autonomous braking, Crosswind Assist, Magic Vision control, 8-inch COMAND screen with touchpad and controller, 4G LITE WiFi, mbrace2 with five years of service, power moonroof and heated front seats. The GLE550e employs an electric motor coupled with a direct-injection 3.0-liter V6 and GPS-integrated predictive energy management.
