New 2018 Karma Revero Overview

Karma introduces the Revero, a plug-in hybrid, for the 2018 model year. A reincarnation of the earlier Fisker Karma, it is a series-hybrid vehicle, with a 2.0-liter turbo gas engine used to generate electricity. The mid-mounted 21.4 kWh lithium ion battery pack has 18.9 usable kWh. Two rear-mounted AC permanent-magnet synchronous traction motors create a combined 981 lb.-ft. of torque and 403 hp. The Revero’s onboard charger takes 10 hours to fully recharge at Level 1 and under 4 hours at Level 2. At Level 3, using an external 40-kW DC/DC quick charging station, an 80% charge takes 24 minutes. The Revero’s roof, covered with solar cells, produces 200 ancillary watts. Drive modes are Sustain (gasoline generator), Stealth (pure EV), and Sport (EV+generator). The Brembo brakes include a 3-mode regenerative braking system. The interior features a 12.3-inch configurable driver display, 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
