New 2018 Ford Flex Overview
The Ford Flex returns for the 2018 model year largely unchanged. Trims offered will be the SE FWD, SEL both FWD and AWD, and Limited in FWD and AWD. The Limited EcoBoost, with its 3.5-liter turbo engine, is no longer offered. The Flex Appearance Package, featuring black door handles, roof, window sills, grille, liftgate appliqué, and 20-inch wheels will return. SYNC® 3 is available, introduced in 2017, an upgraded multimedia infotainment system boasting conversational voice recognition, faster performance, simplified interface, and a smartphone-like touchscreen. The available all-wheel drive system continuously predict traction, monitor vehicle and driver input, and automatically deliver torque needed to all wheels avoiding slippage. Available active park assist uses ultrasonic sensors to find a parallel parking spot; once a space is located, the system steers the vehicle into place with the driver controlling the gas pedal, brake pedal, and gearshift.
