Used 2017 BMW 5 Series Overview

In its last model year before an expected redesign, the BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo line returns unchanged for 2017. Available in 535i xDrive, 535i, and 550i xDrive versions, enhancements to the 2016 model carry over. These include Mobile office apps, additional Bluetooth mic added to the cockpit, optional 19-inch Turbine alloy wheels, gearshift paddles made standard on all trims, and both SiriusXM satellite radio and a Harman/Kardon surround sound audio system now standard on the 550i xDrive. The 535i and 535i xDrive retain a 3.0-liter inline-6 turbocharged engine with 300 hp and 300 lb.-ft. of torque, whereas the 550i xDrive continues with its 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V8 with 480 lb.-ft. of torque and 445 hp. Both engines are paired to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic with manual mode. The Gran Turismo includes conveniences like a tailgate system that opens as a unit or via a trunk-like hatch and that permits automatic opening and closing.
