One of the most controversial football stars of current times, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is starring in a new commercial for Volvo. The Swedish player, who won the French Championship with PSG, will be staring in a new movie to promote the V90 break, recently introduced during this March Geneva Motor Show.

The new campaign, which aired for the first time on May 30th, comes following speculation of further collaboration between the former Paris Saint-Germain F.C. striker and the Swedish premium car maker.

Volvo Cars and Zlatan worked together in a memorable 2014 marketing campaign featuring the enigmatic footballer reciting the Swedish national anthem and hunting in remote Swedish forests.

“The campaign is a celebration of the independent mind, of the power that lies in the ability to think differently. There are many similarities between Zlatan’s and Volvo’s journeys. We haven’t got to where we are now by doing the same as everyone else,” said Anders Gustafsson, Senior Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa at Volvo Car Group.
