Volkswagen has introduced a new range of petrol engines for the light commercial vehicles lineup. The most important modifications is the adding of the 2.0 liter TSI turbocharged GTI-inspired unit under the hood of the Volkswagen Caravelle.

The passenger van is now available with this engine in two power stages. The first one is able to deliver 150 horsepower while the second one can offer 204 horsepower. The first variant will be available with a six speed manual gearbox while the second version can be matted to a seven speed DSG automatic transmission.

The German car manufacturer also offers three new petrol turbo engines for the Caddy panel van and Caddy life models. We are talking about a 1.2 liter with 84 horsepower and a 5 speed manual, a 1.0 liter and 102 horsepower mated to a five speed manual and a 1.4 liter rated at 125 horsepower with wither a six speed manual or a seven speed DSG.

The Volkswagen Caddy is available in three different trim levels: Startline, Trendline and Highline, and with short or Maxi wheelbases.

Prices for the new range start from $20,602 for Caddy panel van, $22,873 for Caddy Life, and $43,813 for Caravelle SE.
