Mercedes-Benz will continue to offer a small utility vehicle. I’m sure you know it from the Citan nameplate, but you definitely know that underneath the Mercedes clothes are Renault Kangoo’s bones.
The second generation Mercedes-Benz Citan is here and, just like the previous generation, it will be offered in two different versions: Panel Van (cargo version) and Tourer (passenger version).
Both cars will be equipped with diesel and petrol engine with power from 75 to 131 horsepower. The Panel Van will have a 2.9 cubic meter volume, two sliding doors and even a hayon for the back (optional). You will be able to carry two euro-pallets and if you have enough money, the guys from Mercedes will offer the modern MBUX infotainment system.
The Panel Van will have two or three seats, while the Tourer will be available with up to five seats.
In Europe, the new Citan will go on sale in mid-September. and an all-electric model will be available in showrooms later next year.Source: Mercedes-Benz
