The German carmaker Volkswagen has released a new spot for the 2013 Golf R Cabrio. The latest R model seems to have the same design as the concept unveiled at the 2011 Worthersee event.

The production version comes with an aggressive spoiler, new side skirts and dual exhaust tail-pipes. There are also a new set of LED daytime running lights, black accents and Talladega alloy wheels.
On the inside we can see leather seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel and a lot of R logos.

The German officials didn’t tell us the technical specifications, but the model is expected to have under the bonnet a turbocharged 2.0 liter petrol engine that can develop 270 hp and 350 Nm. Thanks to these figures, the 2013 Golf R Cabrio can sprint from stand still to 100 km/h in less than six seconds and hit a top speed of 250 km/h.
