Suzuki’s new Swift Sport will go on sale in Great Britain starting from January 2012, so if you are into compact sport superminis then you should know that its pricing will start at 13,500 GBP.
This performance version Swift comes with a new, Euro 5 compliant 1.6-litre VVT engine that produces 136 HP (100 kW) and 160 Nm of torque. Thanks to this unit the car offers 10 percent lower fuel consumption and emission figures, which are 44.1 mpg in a combined cycle (UK rating) and 147 g/Km.
The 2012 Suzuki Swift Sport has also been fitted with a revised 5-speed manual transmission (offered as standard), and when it comes to performance its 0 to 62 mph acceleration time is 8.7 seconds while its maximum speed is 121 mph.
Some of the standard specifications on the new Swift Sport include auto air conditioning, fog lamps, push button engine ignition, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity and HID projector lamps.
The car is now available with five new metallic / pearlescent colours (Silky Silver, Kashmir Blue Pearl, Cosmic Black Pearl, Cool White pearl and Ablaze Red Pearl) while its evolved protection systems include seven airbags and ESP (Electronic Stability Program) as standard.
