In an interview with Autocar, Sergio Marchionne, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles chief, said the Ferrari Dino will be back. The new model will be a mid-engine supercar that will probably use a V6 twin-turbo engine.

The car will deliver around 500 horsepower and the engine will grant the vehicle with a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in under 3.5 seconds. Sergio Marchionne also said that it will be a mistake to come with a front-engined Dino just to make the model cheaper.

“We may produce a 500 horsepower Ferrari but it will not be a cheap Ferrari. The brand is unique and needs to be protected. I would always rather build 500 fewer cars than the market demanded rather than 500 more. We must not mess with customer expectations of Ferrari as an exclusive brand”, said Sergio Marchionne.

In terms of pricing the new car will be slightly more expensive than the California T and it will probably be revealed in a couple of years.
