2022 was a hard year for lots of car manufacturers. And Rivian, a new kid on the block, has taste it like every body else. As a result, managing to get through 2022 is a big thing.

But for Rivian, 2022 was important from another different point of view. The company managed to produce the 25.000th vehicle since its birth.

The company’s manufacturing plant in Normal, Illinois runs two shifts and also managed to achieve another important milestone: 200 cars per day. At a rate like this, in one year, Rivian will be able to produce 70.000+ cars.

As a normal step, Rivian could add a third shift to increase production.

“We continue to see enormous growth and progress in every area of our business, and this is the direct result of our team’s incredible efforts every single day. We recently added a second shift at our plant, which means we can build vehicles around the clock and continue to ramp production.”, said Tim Fallon, Rivian’s VP of Manufacturing.

Rivian has two cars on its line up: the R1T pickup and the R1S SUV.
