Renault has brought back to life the Scenic. But this time as an SUV. And not a regular SUV, but an electric one.

Named Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric the car is based on the CMF-EV platform, the same one used by Renault Megane E-Tech Electric or Nissan Ariya.

The new French electric car can be ordered in two flavours. The base model comes with a front mounted electric motor with 170 HP and 280 Nm and a battery pack of 60 kWh. This can offer a maximum range of 260 miles.

The second version comes also with one motor, but this time it delivers 220 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. The motor draws energy from a 87 kWh battery which means an estimated range of 385 miles. In this case the DC charging can be done at stations with 150 kW power. The standard variant is able to charge at DC with 130 kW.
