In case you are wondering why would a Peugeot RCZ get compared to a Porsche 911 Turbo S, then we inform you that this latest video from Autocar is not about performance figures and which is quicker around the track, but about fuel efficiency.
This rather unusual test was inspired by the fact that the Porsche 911 Turbo is one the most eco-friendly performance cars money can buy at the moment, when considering the amount of power compared to the amount of CO2 it creates.
So to put things into perspective the journalists from Autocar have fueled up both the Peugeot RCZ and the Porsche 911 Turbo, and took the cars for a spin around the track to see what will they average in terms of consumption.
In the end the Peugeot RCZ managed 16.5 mpg while the Porsche 911 Turbo S averaged 14.5 mpg, which is quite impressive considering we’re talking about a 500 HP car vs a 180 HP car.
