2011 BMW 5 Series Price
The 2011 BMW 5 Series price for the North American market was announced today. The two variants that will be sold across the ocean are the 535i and the 550i which deliver 300 horsepower and 400 horsepower respectively.
Both these powerplants fitted on the 2011 BMW 5-Series are mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox while a new six-speed manual gearbox will also become available soon.
2011 Volkswagen Touareg Exclusive Options
The German automaker is now offering a number of exclusive options for the recently launched 2011 Volkswagen Touareg.
The 2011 Volkswagen Touareg exclusive options include two-tone leather combinations for the interior available in Pepper Beige – Titan Black or Dark Burgundy – Titan Black. These two-tone leather seat covers have undergone a special process that turns leather into ‘Cool Leather’, preventing the seats from overheating during summer time. Additionally the 12-way adjustable leather seating system can also be heated for the front passengers and pricing for this option available in the Touareg Hybrid V8 TDI starts at 1,725 Euros.
Video: Audi A1 competition kit
The video below presents the Audi A1 competition kit, which is an aesthetic package designed to resemble with veicles from the company’s successful Motorsport division.
The Audi A1 competition kit includes a series of red painted accents together with various stickers and a new set of wheels at the exterior while at the interior a matching customisation treatment has also been applied.
We think the Audi A1 competition kit does look good on the new compact city car and it remains to be seen how much will this package cost compared to the standard version.
Nissan GT-R BSB Safety Car
The British Superbike Championship (BSB) has chosen Nissan as its official vehicle supplier, with two Nissan GTRs scheduled to act as safety cars.
The Nissan GT-R BSB safety car is capable of reaching 190 mph thanks to its 3.8-engine, and the agreement between BSB and Nissan Motor GB states that both 2010 and 2011 seasons will be covered.
2013 Bugatti 16C Galibier
After receiving positive feedback to the Bugatti 16C Galibier concept, the Italian manufacturer decided to take the ultra exclusive super saloon into production by the end of 2012.
The 2013 Bugatti 16C Galibier will be produced in a limited run of 300 units, with each exemplar expected to be priced at around 900,000 GBP.
As far as design the 2013 Bugatti 16C Galibier features design cues that resemble the Veyron and the Bugatti Type 35 and the car is build from carbon fiber and aluminium.
New Scion Teaser
Together with the release of a few teaser images the Japanese automaker announced it will introduce a new Scion product at this year’s New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) on march 31st.
The sew Scion teaser images offer a sneak peek of the car’s interior as well as shot of the car’s left side front fender. At this point we can only speculate but it looks like we might be talking about the next generation 2011 Scion tC.
For visitors at the 2010 NYIAS, the new Scion will be showcased on level 3, booth #506 inside the Jacob Javits Center.
2010 Volkswagen Sharan Price
The 2010 Volkswagen Sharan price for the automaker’s home market was announced today, and the good news is that the new version is now with 2,475 Euros cheaper.
The basic version 2010 Volkswagen Sharan uses a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine that produces 150 PS (110 kW) and needs 7.2-litres of fuel per 100 Km while the Trendline variant is fitted with a 2.0-litre TDI diesel unit that packs 140 PS (103 kW) and is able to cover 100 Km on just 4.4 litres of fuel.

2.5 million Mercedes A- and B-Class sold
Daimler announced that it has reached a new milestone with their compact class models as the number of Mercedes A and B Class units sold is now totaling 2.5 million.
The 2.5 millionth compact vehicle from the Mercedes A or B Class was delivered to a customer this month and the company says they “want to attract new customer groups and also achieve growth in additional markets with the successor generation in this segment.”
