Pagani Zonda R video presentation
Here we have a presentation video of the Pagani Zonda R in which the company’s boss, Horacio Pagani talks about their recent achievement on the 20,8 Km long Nurburgring Nordschleife track in Germany.
As you know the Pagani Zonda R managed to lap the Nurburgring in 6:47,5 which was obtained with ‘reasonable ease’ and thanks to this footage we get to know some of the technologies and materials that make the Zonda R a benchmark for supercars.
2011 Mercedes S63 S65 AMG price
Daimler has published new photos with the 2011 Mercedes S63 S65 AMG as well as announcing the price for their range topping luxury saloons which will make their market debut towards the end of September.
Powered by a 5.5-litre V8 that features direct petrol injection with spray-guided combustion and twin turbocharging which is good for 571 HP (420 kW) and 900 Nm of torque the 2011 Mercedes S63 AMG is available in both short wheelbase and long wheelbase body styles.
2011 Toyota Tacoma TRD TX and TX Pro Performance Packs
Toyota is offering two new performance packages named the TX and TX Pro that are designed to fit the 2011 Toyota Tacoma and were inspired from the TX TRD concept showcased at SEMA in 2009.
The 2011 Toyota Tacoma TRD TX and TX Pro performance packs are available for both the V6 Access Cab and V6 Double Cab that use either 4×2 or 4×4 drive-systems and some of the features that are offered include an electronic lock-diff, progressive-rate front springs, Bilstein shock absorbers, a 28 millimeter front stabilizer and BF Goodrich Rugged Trail tires.
Video: BMW Gran Coupe presentation
The Bavarian automaker has published a new video offering detailed information regarding the BMW Gran Coupe design. The Production version BMW Gran Coupe has already been approved, so the new Audi A7, Mercedes CLS, Maserati Quattroporte, Porsche Panamera competitor is expected to hit the market sometime in 2012.
The BMW Gran Coupe will be badged as the 6 Series and as it was mentioned in this presentation video, its design was inspired by water, and its dynamic lines reflect motion even when the car is standing still.
Porsche 911 Turbo by Misha Designs
Tuning specialists from Misha Designs have approached the Porsche 911 Turbo (997 Turbo) and fitted it with a body kit that improves the German sports car in terms of appearance and functionality by going for the supercar look.
At the front the Porsche 911 Turbo by Misha Designs comes with a carbon fiber lower lip and a redesigned front bumper that features new air ducts for better engine cooling. There is also an air vent that resembles the one seen on the GT2, which also helps reduce drag. Also part of the package are the new bonnet with 2 optional carbon fiber vanes, side skirts and the new rear bumper that accommodates the carbon fiber diffuser and which also features 3 carbon fiber grills on the side.
Solomon Alsberg Eco Super Light alloy wheels
These are the new Eco Super Light alloy wheels launched by premium rim manufacturer Solomon Alsberg in the UK.
Designed to fit models from Porsche, Lexus, BMW, Land Rover, Mercedes, Audi and Infiniti, the Solomon Alsberg Eco Super Light alloy wheels are available in sizes 19, 20, 21 and 22 inch offering owners the possebility of making their car stand out from the rest of the crowd.
Video: Ferrari 612 Scaglietti prototype ?
This next video shows a Ferrari prototype revving its engine on the streets of Italy. Besides the fact that black camouflage wraps this prototype completely there are also various elements from various Ferrari models that confuse us.
For example the front lights look like the ones on a Ferrari 458 Italia, while the rear glass seems borrowed from the 599 Fiorano. The back of this Ferrari prototype also looks like it can accommodate the mechanism for a soft top convertible, while the sweet noise appears to be from a V12. From what we can tell this might be the Ferrari Scaglietti successor and that is in case the Prancing Horse is not working on some new model which could also be the case considering the heavy camo.
Video: Teenager Faces Diesel Truck Exhaust
The teenager in this next video is probably part of the automotive research community, if such a thing exists…and thanks to the data that he collected we now get proper answers to some of our questions. One of our main questions for example was what would happen if you put your face close to a diesel truck’s exhaust pipe? If you want specific details about the truck here they are : a 95 cummins 12v with Bosch 375 marine injectors that also features an injection pump swap.
A second question would be how long will it take before your face turns completely back from the exhaust fumes. One unanswered question still remains, what kind of impact would this kind of fooling around have on your health.
Pagani Zonda HH teaser
These teaser photos that appeared on a forum recently indicate that Pagani is working on another exclusive supercar, named the Pagani Zonda HH. The Pagani Zonda HH will be a single edition model on which the Italian manufacturer will use their best components and parts, while power is expected to be extracted from the same 7.3-litre V12 unit found in the Zonda Cinque which packs 678 horsepower and 780 Nm of torque.
As it can be seen in these Pagani Zonda HH teaser images this new hypercar will make use of cross-drilled carbon ceramic brakes, blue painted brake calipers that match the blue body finish, and Pirelli P-Zero tires.
2011 Mercedes CL63 CL65 AMG price
Daimler was just revealed complete details along with pricing for both facelift version 2011 Mercedes CL63 and CL65 AMG which will go on sale in September 2010.
The 2011 Mercedes CL63 price starts at 160,769 Euro and the new engine from under the bonnet is a 5.5-litre V8 biturbo that can unleash 544 HP (400 kW) and 800 Nm of torque (571 HP/420 kW and 900 Nm with the AMG Performance Package). Spinning the rear wheels is the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT seven-seed sports transmission and the 2011 Mercedes CL63 which is now 27 percent more economical, needs 10.5-litres of fuel to cover 100 Km.
