Hyundai Solaris
The Korean automaker is presenting the first product that will get assembled at the company’s plant in Russia, the Hyundai Solaris.
The Hyundai Solaris is a sub-compact 4-door sedan powered by either a 1.4-litre 4-cylinder Gamma engine delivering 109 HP or a 1.6-litre Gamma unit delivering 124 HP. Both powering options are available with either a 5-speed manual and or a 6-speed automatic transmission, and the company hopes it will produce around 85,000 units per year.
Apple iMove Concept
The Apple iMove is a concept envisioned by 20 year old student Liviu Tudoran who studies design at the IED institute in Turin, Italy.
With a design that seems like falling into place when put next to the rest of the Macintosh products, like the iPhone, iPad, iPod etc., the Apple iMove concept that uses electricity for propulsion and could be seen roaming the highly urbanized areas in year 2020.
Exagon Furtive eGT video
The fallowing video presents the Exagon Furtive eGT which is a 2+2 hybrid sports coupe developed in France that is awaiting its debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.
Production for the Exagon Furtive eGT is expected to begin in 2012, and it looks like its main competitor is the Fisker Karma. The powertrain of the Exagon Furtive eGT is composed from two electric motors driving the front and rear axles, and delivering 170 HP each, with a combined output of 340 HP.
Segway Boss Dies in Segway Accident
Various publications are reporting that the boss of Segway has died in an accident involving…a Segway.
Jimi Heselden, age 62, has somehow fallen of a cliff as he was riding an ‘off-road’ version of the Segway (the X2), near his property in North Yorkshire. Heselden has fallen into the Wharfe River below the cliff and was pronounced deat at the scene, leaving behind a company that is worth 263 million USD.
Honda Jazz Hybrid
The Japanese car maker is offering new photos and additional details regarding the Honda Jazz Hybrid version, which will premiere at this week’s 2010 Paris Motor Show.
The Honda Jazz Hybrid uses the same IMA hybrid motor and control system found in the Insight and CR-Z models. The battery pack and control unit, which are located under the boot floor enable a reasonable boot space capacity for a hatch like this, meaning 831 liters.
Lamborghini teaser 4 of 6
Lamborghini’s teasing game continues, and here is image number 4, out of a total of 6 teasers, before the Gallardo replacements gets unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.
We are not sure what to make of this 4th Lamborghini teaser, but it seems like we get a view of the area behind the seats, meaning the engine bay area and the roll bars.
Jaguar C-X75
The British automaker keeps on celebrating its 75th anniversary, and this time they will do it by revealing the Jaguar C-X75 Concept at this week’s 2010 Paris Motor Show.
What is interesting about the Jaguar C-X75 is that it won’t be just another ‘unique’ model with extra features on it, as visitors at the automaker’s stand will actually be able to see the company’s new design language incorporated into vehicle that is expected to combine performance with luxury and cutting edge technologies.
Hyundai ix35 Police Car
We’ve seen various new models being delivered by British dealerships to Police Forces in UK, in an effort to boost sales and publicity.
The latest model to become a Police Car is the new 2011 Hyundai ix35 , as the Korean automaker was chosen as the ‘preffered supplier’ for all UK police forces. This means that a number of 7,800 Hyundai cars will be purchased annually for police work outside London, plus an additional 2,000 cars that will be bought by the Metropolitan force for duty inside the capital city.
2011 Audi S7 specs
Technical details with the Audi S7 are starting to surface, and according to the British media the sportier version of the A7 will features a new twin turbo V8 under its skin.
Thanks to this new 4.0-litre V8 (co-developed with Bentley), the 2011 Audi S7 (which will debut next year), will pack 550 BHP and the car will be offered as an all-wheel-drive.
Range Rover Evoque 5-door
The first clear images with the Range Rover Evoque 5-door version have been leaked by a Romanian site, and it seems that public debut for this new body-style will also take place at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.
There are other sources saying the Range Rover Evoque 5-door will be presented at the Los Angeles Motor Show in November, but we will definitely find that out in less than a week.
