Toyota 4Runner Backcountry
The Toyota 4Runner Backcountry is a special 4Runner developed by Four Wheeler Magazine, which will debut at the 2010 SEMA Show, and which raise interest among those who are looking for a self-contained exploration rig.
The Toyota 4Runner Backcountry features a new suspension system with heady-duty springs and custom shock absorbers, plus the ride height has been lifted by 2.5 inches. The SUV’s Teflon coated 17 inch wheels are wrapped in Falken WildPeak rubber, and among exterior enhancements that have been added we can mention the Deluxe Bull Bar front bumper, the front Air locker, the twoHID driving lights, and four KC HiLiTES 5×7 front facing and two 2×6 rear facing lights.
Toyota Yaris GT-S Club Racer
Another Toyota badged car to be showcased at the 2010 SEMA Show is the Yaris GT-S Club Racer which wants to demonstrate that the automaker’s sub-compact, fuel efficient model can be transformed into a capable race car.
Starting with the exterior, the Toyota Yaris GT-S Club Racer features Molly Designs graphics, a carbon fiber hood and hatchback, hood pins, fender flairs, tow hooks and Lexan side and rear windows.
Toyota Tundra Sportsman at SEMA 2010
The third vehicle especially prepared for SEMA 2010 is the Toyota Tundra Sportsman, a concept pickup truck developed together with Bass Pro Shops and their RedHead Pro Hunting Team members.
The Toyota Tundra Sportsman is based on the 2011 Tundra Double Cab 4×4 with the TRD Rock Warrior Package, and uses a 5.7-litre V8 linked to a six-speed automatic. As far as mechanical enhancements, the Toyota Tundra Sportsman comes with a 3 inch suspension lift, a custom exhaust and air intake, a custom front ‘Bull Bar’ plus 18 inch Teflon coated wheels wrapped in 33 x 12.5 inch Nitto Mud Grapplers tires.
Toyota Sienna Swagger Wagon Supreme
The Toyota Sienna Swagger Wagon Supreme is another custom creation that is based on…you guessed it, the 2011 Sienna, and will be presented to visitors at the 2010 SEMA Show, which opened today.
The Toyota Sienna Swagger Wagon Supreme is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 mated with a six-seed automatic gearbox, and its body has been stretched by almost 4 feet (44 inches). The car uses an airbag suspension and 20 inch chrome wheels by KMC, and other modified elements that have been added at the exterior include a new rear spoiler, a custom acrylic roof, chrome exhaust tips and a special paint coat.
Toyota Prius PLUS Performance Package
At this year’s SEMA Show, Toyota will introduce the PLUS Performance Package, developed by Toyota Racing Development (TRD) and designed to enhance the Prius model.
The Toyota Prius PLUS Performance Package comes with a series of accessories that improve the car in terms of appearance and also make it more fun to drive. The main components are included in a seven piece body kit (front and rear bumper, side sills, rear diffuser), plus the Toyota Prius PLUS Performance Package also comes with 17 inch forged wheels wrapped in 215/45R17 tires and the PLUS exterior badge.
NISSAN New Mobility CONCEPT
Nissan is offering a set of preliminary details regarding their ‘New Mobility CONCEPT’ which represents a new proposal for an electric vehicle.
The NISSAN New Mobility CONCEPT is best characterized by four different aspects : it is innovative as it features a two-seater configuration suitable for various needs and occasions, is is easy to drive and park, due to its compact size, it is safe (‘Manoeuvrability equivalent to motorbikes with greater safety’) and it is also clean, as it uses an emission free powertrain.
Fiat 500 TwinAir price
The Italian company has put a price tag on the Fiat 500 TwinAir version which will begin selling across UK, and which will be produced at the Bielsko-Biala plant in Poland.
The Fiat 500 TwinAir features a low consumption 875 cc, 2-cylinder engine that produces 85 bhp and 145 Nm of torque and which returns 70.6 mpg thanks in part to the Dualogic robotised gearbox. CO2 emissions are just 92 grams per Km and performance figures indicate the Fiat 500 TwinAir can reach 62 mph from a stand still in 11 seconds and hit a maximum speed of 108 mph.
Lexus brings six customized hybrids at SEMA 2010
The Japanese car-maker is offering a preview with the six customized Lexus hybrids that will be showcased at this year’s SEMA 2010 Show.
These customized models are as follows : the CT 200h F Sport Concept, HS 250h by Vip Auto Salon, GS 450h by 0-60 Magazine, LS 600h L by Fox Marketing, LS 600h L by Vip Auto Salon plus the RX 450h by Paul Tolson of EST Styling.
Video: Skoda Fabia vRS Commercial
The Czech automaker has launched a major marketing campaign for the Skoda Fabia vRS, with the goal of exposing the sporty new hatch to new audience and also offering the possibility of winning two Fabias through a Facebook competition.
This new marketing campaign also includes the Skoda Fabia vRS ‘Made of Meaner Stuff’ commercial video, as a reference to the car’s dynamics character.
Caparo T1 Nurburgring video
The crew from EVO have taken the British made, mid-engine, rear-wheel drive Caparo T1 for a full lap around the famous Nurburgring test track.
In case you are not familiar with what this lightweight two-seater is capable of then here are the Caparo T1 specs : power comes from a 3.5-litre normally aspirated V8 that produces 575 bhp (425 kW) @ 10,500 rpm and 420 Nm of torque (310 lb-ft) @ 9,000 rpm. The car weights 1100 lbs (500 Kg) and is able to rocket from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. Its too speeds exceeds 200 mph (322 Km/h) and its base price is somewhere around 180,000 GBP (the equivalent of 350,000 USD).
