Video: Citroen C4 test drive
We’ve seen Autocar’s impression on the 2011 Citroen C4, now its time for a test drive involving the same model, but done by FifthGear.
The Citroen C4 range starts at 15,500 GBP and reaches 21,500 GBP for the range topping Exclusive version equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo diesel producing 140 bhp and 218 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to this engine which uses a six-speed manual gearbox, the Citroen C4 sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 8.6 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 126 mph.
Mitsubishi at 2011 Geneva Motor Show
Mitsubishi Motors announced their vehicle lineup for the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, with the global debut of the Mitsubishi Concept Global Small as the main highlight.
The Mitsubishi Concept Global Small is a small compact aiming towards affordability and high fuel efficiency (CO2 emissions in the mid 90g/Km range) which can accommodate five adults and which is most probably a preview for the next generation Colt.
Senner Audi A1
Senner Tuning has launched another upgrade program for the Audi A1, this time based on the smallest motorisation version, the 1.4-litre TFSI.
By applying a new air filter and an engine software optimization module the Senner Audi A1 is now able to generate 156 HP (115 kW) and 250 Nm of torque instead of 122 HP (90 kW) and 200 Nm of torque like the standard model.
Volkswagen Polo GT and GTD
More rumors regarding possible future models, this time involving new versions based on the Volkswagen Polo, badged as the GT and GTD.
The German automaker could expand their Volkswagen Polo lineup for the European market with with two new variations (GT with 150 HP / GTD with 130 HP) by following the same recipe as the one used on the Golf range.
2013 Chrysler 300 Hybrid info
According to new details that have appeared over the Internet, the North American automaker is planing to offer a hybrid version of their newly launched 2013 Chrysler 300, based on a gasoline-electric architecture.
Sergio Marchionne, CEO at Chrysler Group said that “will offer a hybrid variant of the 300 equipped with an eight-speed automatic in 2013” so it looks like the newly relaunched company wants to develop a greener alternative to their models, as a way of keeping up with with the competition.
Toyota at Tokyo Auto Salon
Besides showcasing the five custom Lexus models at the Tokyo Auto Salon, The Japanese company has also brought three ‘pumped-up’ Toyota variations based on the iQ, the Prius and the Auris.
The GRMN (Gazoo Racing tuned by MN) iQ Racing Concept is a fitted with a tuned supercharged engine and a roll cage, while at the exterior the car features racing wheels and a massive lower intake.
Lexus Concepts at Tokyo Auto Salon
At this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon, Lexus has presented five modified models at the Japanese automaker wanted to ‘celebrate [their] sporting side’.
The main highlight was represented by the Lexus CT 200h which was revealed in special F-Sport guise, featuring various accessories which include a custom body kit, new alloys, and Recaro Seats.
The other Lexus Concepts showcases in Tokyo includes the IS F CCS-R (Circuit Club Sport Racer) and Club Performance Accessory versions, plus the Lexus LFA by Gazoo Racing and a new interpretation of the LS 460 luxury salon.
Video: Ferrari P4/5 Competizione on track
The next video shows the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione on track, during initial preparation stages for the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring.
The Ferrari P4/5 Competizione which is based on a 430 Scuderia, was driven on this short track by Fabrizio Giovanardi and the first impressions, published on the P4/5 Competizione Facebook fan page, are that the ‘car is very easy to drive and all controls are light and direct’.
2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible
After we’ve seen leaked photos with the 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible last week, the North American automaker decided its time to reveal initial data and a hi-res gallery with their new open-top model.
The 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible will be offering its customers the possibility of choosing between a body-coloured hard top and a cloth soft top, both operated by pressing a button on the key fob.
Among interior highlights the 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible will feature the SIRIUS Satellite Radio and a 30 Gb HDD/CD/DVD/MP3 radio with SIRIUS Travel Link plus the automaker says the level of content and comfort is now world class.
