Nissan UK widens its Navarra range with a new version. The entry-level option is based on the double cab pick-up truck and is named Visia.

The japanese model comes with a de-tuned 2.5-liter diesel engine and is available to order at a price of £17,995. This is almost £2000 less than the £19,411 asked for the 187hp Acenta Double-Cab.

With deliveries starting January 2013, the Visia’s 2.5-litre dCi common-rail diesel four-cylinder engine produces 142hp and 258 lb-ft (350Nm) of torque. This is enough for a 33.6mpg on the combined UK cycle.

Nissan has made some smart savings to make the Visia more affordable: it used black colored instead of chromed-plated interior door handles and front grille, conventional wiper blades in place of the better flat blades, and choose the single tone front bumper.

Standard features include a part-time four-wheel drive, air conditioning, central door locking, six airbags, a CD player, Bluetooth connectivity and ESP.
