Four years ago, Mercedes-Benz decided to ditch the CLK model. Now, the latest report is indicating that the next generation of the C-Class will bring back the CLK moniker.

According to the same source, the model will be offered in coupe and cabriole versions and it will be a "highly emotional driver’s car". The upcoming CLK will combine the attractive styling with the sporty driving experience.

Even it’s too early to talk about the engine choices, the guys from Automobile Magazine have a few options for the CLK. They say that the new German model could choose from a 2.2 liter CDI with 170 HP, 204 HP and 231 HP, a 1.6 liter turbocharged, a 2.0 liter turbocharged and a 3.0 liter V6. The high top version could be the 4.0 liter V8 with 460 HP.
