BMW M turned 50 this year, and the guys form the performance division have prepared lots of surprises. But the most important one was at the end of this year.

Its name is BMW 3.0 CSL and it is an hommage of the old E9 CSL “Batmobil” launch in the 70s.

Ths new 3.0 CSL starts out as a BMW M4, but it comes with a completley redesigned exterior, and with a more sporty interior.

Under the hood is the same 3.0 liter petrol unit, but this time it deliver 560 horsepower. As a result, this is the most powerful inline six unit mounted by BMW in a production car.

The engine resources are sent to the ground via a six speed manual transmission. The car is RWD, so a blessing for purists.

BMW will made only 50 units, and for now we don’t have an official price tag. There are some rumors on the Internet saying that the new BMW 3.0 CSL will cost 750.000 Euros a piece. We’ll let you know when the official price will go online.
