McMurtry Spéirling holds the record at the Goodwood Hill Climb. It is an electric car with a turbine under the body that sucks the air for better grip.

Now, the company has decided to develop an improved version of that prototype that will also go on production. It is called McMurtry Spéirling Pure, and will be limited to 100 units.

The car will also come this year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and in 2024, the company will start the tests with pre-production models. The first deliveries are expected in 2025.

But let’s get back to the technical specs. The new McMurtry Spéirling Pure – which will cost over 1 million USD – comes with an electric powertrain that can deliver 1,000 HP. The car has a 60 kWh battery pack which can be charged in 20 minutes. According to the manufacturer, the battery can last for 10 laps of Silverstone at full tilt.

Compared to the previous prototype, the new McMurtry Spéirling Pure has improved suspension, bodywork, aero and electrical architecture.

The not to 60 mph in not mentioned, but if it’s anything like last year’s car, full-throttle acceleration will take 1,5 seconds. The top speed of the new McMurtry Spéirling Pure is 190 mph.
