More news from the British press, this time reporting that Jaguar is working on a replacement model for the X Type as well as on the new F Type roadster.
The news has been confirmed by Carl-Peter Forster, CEO at Tata Motors and according to him several versions based on the new generation Jaguar X Type and F Type will also be launched.
The same source says The Jaguar X Type and F Type are not the only models the company is working on, as an Estate version XF is on its way as well as a long wheel base XF that will exclusively get sold in China.
The Jaguar F Type and X Type are expected to feature a medium size aluminium platform with power send to the rear wheels, although at this point details regarding powerplants are nonexistent.
