Skoda has just unveiled photos and a few details with the Mission L as the Czech autuomaker’s new concept awaits its official premiere at the 2011 IAA Motorshow in Frankfurt tomorrow.
The Skoda Mission L is a close to production ready concept which previews a future compact model that will hit the European market, Russia and China in 2012. The car is expected to be delivered in India as well in late 2011, and the whole thing is part of the automaker’s growth aspirations.
Prof. Dr. h.c. Winfried Vahland, SKODA Board Chairman said that "This premiere kicks off SKODA’s model offensive for the coming years," "This new
compact model, along with other new products to follow, will enable us
to accomplish our goal of increasing global annual sales to 1.5 million
vehicles by 2018. We are going to present a new car approximately every
six months over the next few years."
The Skoda Mission L has been designed with a very pure approached, and even thought its lines are simple, overall the car still manages to impress.
Vahlat also noted that "One year after the launch of out 2018 growth strategy, we can say we are on the right course," "We have laid the foundations for SKODA’s product offensive at IAA. The
extension of our product portfolio will help us increase the speed of
our growth in the coming years."
