Hamann has developed a second customisation program for the Mercedes SLS AMG, which this time turns the gullwinged sports car into something much more exclusive. How else would you impress visitors at one of the main automotive events of 2011 right? and you known we’re talking about the 81st edition Geneva Motor Show.
This time the Mercedes SLS AMG kit is called the Hamman Hawk, and starting with the exterior upgrades the car features the Everose Gold exterior finish, blackened taillights, a carbon fiber hood, boot lid and mirror casings, a massive rear wing, which is also made from carbon, and a small diffuser. The Hamman treatment for the Mercedes SLS AMG also include a front spoiler lip, a roof air scoop, wider wheel arches, new side sills and a redesigned rear spoiler which integrates four exhaust tips belonging to the titanium made exhaust system.
Moving on to the mechanical enhancements, the Hamman Hawk Mercedes SLS AMG received new manifolds, sports catalysts and a sports air filter which in combination with the new exhaust, enable the 6.2-litre V8 from under the bonnet to develop 636 horsepower (468 kW) and 680 Nm of torque @ 4,850 rpm.
As you can imagine, more power means faster acceleration, and the new figures indicate that the Hamman Hawk Mercedes SLS AMG is able to sprint from nought to 62 mph (0 to 100 Km/h) in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 320 Km/h.
Finally the German two-seater also benefits from a set of 21 inch double-spoke
design black alloys wrapped in performance tires, a coilover suspension with height-adjustable
dampers, four progressively wound springs, and a center of gravity
which can be lowered by 30 mm.
