Here are the first leaked pictures of the new-generation BMW X5, ahead of its launch whose date has yet to be announced. According to these images, the new X5 will display a mixture of design cues borrowed from other BMW models. 

As you can see, the more rounded front fascia is a feature of the new 3-Series, the air vents on both sides of the front come from the 4-Series Coupe concept, while the rear lights look like scaled up versions of the  X3 taillights. 

The interior will accentuate the quality, having more tech features and better materials. In terms of power we expect to see a 2.0-liter diesel with 245 hp (183 kW), a 3.0-liter diesel with 302 hp (225 kW) and a V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo generating 402 hp (300 kW). Also, there could be a fourth option, a hybrid.

The new BMW X5 will go on sale later this year, with prices starting from around £45,000.
