The last BMW M5 30 Jahre M5 built in US-spec will go to auction on January 15 in Scottsdale, Arizona by Barret-Jackson. As you may have read, the special edition M5 "30 Jahre M5" was unveiled in May to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the model.

BMW built only 300 units and 30 of them allocated for the North American market.
Under the hood of the BMW M5 "30 Jahre M5" is a twin-turbo V8 4.4 liter engine tweaked to deliver 600 horsepower and 700 Nm peak of torque. The power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. As a result, the car can run from stand still to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.9 seconds, with 0.4 seconds faster than the standard version.
