Just a few hours ago we presented leaked photos with the Citroen DS4 Racing and now the French company decided to make things official and release the same photos themselves along with initial details referring to their hot hatch concept.
Developed by Citroen Racing who’s engineers have used their multi WRC winning expertise, this ‘hot blooded’ DS4 features a number of carbon fiber components such as the front splitter, rear diffuser and wheel arch extensions.
Its engine has also been developed by the same division, and is a 1.6-litre turbo petrol capable of generating 256 bhp (160 bhp/litre), a record for a Citroen series production car. This impressive performance figure is accompanied by CO2 emissions of just 155 grams per Km, while in terms of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 Km/h) the actual figures are yet to be released.
The Citroen DS4 Racing Concept also comes with matt grey paintwork, a two-tone roof and two-tone 19 inch wheels, plus a lowered chassis (- 35 mm), a wider track (+55 mm) and more powerful brakes featuring special 380 mm diameter discs.
