The Mercedes-Benz S-class has always been synonymous with the pinnacle of luxury motoring. The new S-Class takes this a step further, and Carlsson is proud to debut its tuning programme for the new Mercedes flagship limousine at the Frankfurt IAA 2013.

The aerodynamic styling kit starts with a new front apron featuring larger air intakes that visually support the new, more three-dimensional Mercedes grille. The distinctive Carlsson RS lip below the centre intake gives the car a lower and more assertive look.

Deeper, sculpted side skirts underline the standard cars dynamic swage line. They also draw your eyes to the new rear valance where the a distinctive trapezoid cut-out on each side marks the outlets for the sports exhaust.

Three different alloy wheel designs with a choice of finishes are on offer. These are the sporting Carlsson 1/10, the classic Carlsson 1/16 RS, and the modern Carlsson 1/5. All three designs are available in 19, 20 and 21-inch diameters.

Apart from craftsman sewn fine leather and wood, state-of-the-art high-tech infotainment equipment such as HD TV screens, an audiophile grade REVOX Sound system, and business tools like a Wi-Fi hotspot can be seamlessly integrated into the plush cabin. Even a fridge or a Humidor can be fitted to make you feel more at home.

Carlsson are also used to fitting made to measure Merino Sheepskin floor mats to customer cars. Colour matched to the vehicle’s interior these mats are available either as a set of four, or for the front foot wells only.

The engine tuning packages offer considerable power and torque increases. The S500 bi-turbo V8 (standard 456hp and 700Nm) is ramped up to 610hp and 900Nm, while the bi-turbo V8 in the S63 AMG (standard 585hp and 900Nm) sees its output rise to a supercar crushing 780hp, accompanied by 1,050Nm of torque.
