According to various sources the Bavarian automaker has expressed its intention of bringing a hybrid version of the new 2011 BMW 5 Series at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
The BMW 5 Series ActiveHybrid sedan will obviously be oriented towards efficiency and eco-friendliness with market launch expected a few month after its world debut in Switzerland.
The first customers able to purchase the BMW 5 Series ActiveHybrid will be the ones in Europe while the North American market will receive it at a later date. Speaking about the US market, apparently the German manufacturer has confirmed that the BMW 5 Series Touring will not make it over the Atlantic. Instead, the Americans will get the new BMW 5 Series GT available in the following versions: 535i and 550i.
No word on the BMW 5 Series ActiveHybrid price yet.
