Audi hopes that the new generation TT can prove a car that can seduce people looking for a small coupe or a roadster. The market is down since the economic crisis and the TT hopes to spice things up. In the UK, clients will have a choice between two engine options, one diesel and one gasoline.

The entry-level gasoline uses the 2.0 TFSI engine, delivering 230 hp and 370 Nm, exact same amount as on the Volkswagen Golf GTI. The unit comes with a six-speed manual or with a seven-speed S-tronic automatic gearbox.

Those who look for efficiency will benefit from the 2.0 TDI diesel, delivering 184 hp and 380 Nm. This version comes only with a six-speed manual transmission.

Except those who want some efficiency for their sporty coupe, the 2.0 liter TFSI engine, also found on the Golf, is the most affordable TT you can buy in UK. But what about how it drives? Is it a fun car as the TT-S? Or is just a compromise? Let’s find out in the video below.
