Back in 2018, Kia unveiled the 2019 Sportage facelift. Even thought the model is pretty modern and has Euro 6d engines, the Asian car manufacturer is working on a new generation Sportage.

Today, according to our colleagues from The Korean Car Blog, we have find out that Kia will launch a new generation Sportage in April 2021. The model will be a 2022 MY and it will be previewed by a concept car.

It will feature a more modern exterior design, while the interior will match the current Ceed model.

Under the bodyshell it will be the same architecture used by the cousin Hyundai Tucson. Also, the 2022 Kia Sportage will borrow the engine line-up from the Tucson.
