It was yesterday when we announced you that the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado has gained a few interesting updates. The same modifications are also available on the 2017 GMC Canyon.

Under the hood of the pick-up truck you will see a revised V8 3.6 liter engine that can deliver 308 horsepower and 375 Nm peak of torque, with 3 HP and 8 Nm peak of torque more than the previous version. Also, the 2017 GMC Canyon will feature the new eight-speed automatic transmission instead of the old six-speed unit.

The new transmission is smoother, has quicker shifts and is more refined. For now it is unclear if the new engine/transmission combination will give you better fuel economy.
