Mercedes-Benz has published another teaser picture with the upcoming 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. The new model will be showcased during the 2016 New York Auto Show, the event which will kick off on March 23rd.

The SUV-coupe model will become a rival for the BMW X4 and will try to steal a piece of the market pie. The new 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is based on the GLC model and will come with a sloped roofline and with slender rear doors.

For now, the car manufacturer managed to keep the technical details in secret but we are pretty sure that the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe will use the same engines as the GLC. More than that, all the technological things and the interior accessories will be the same as in the GLC.

At the launch, the hottest model will feature the 2.0 liter turbo unit rated at 241 horsepower. Later it will be joined by the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe which uses the 3.0 liter V6 engine. The flagship unit will be used in the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 Coupe.

The 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe will be sharing the stage in New York with the facelifted CLA, E43 4MATIC, and GLC43.
