Lexus has officially unveiled the 2016 ES 350 and ES 300h in US-specs. As you can see, the Japanese luxury model looks sportier than its predecessor and it features a new fascia with a revised grille that was flanked by standard LED headlights.
At the rear we see a new bumper, L-shaped taillights and rectangular exhaust tips with chrome finish. More than that, the car can be ordered in four new body color: Autumn Shimmer, Nightfall Mica, Caviar and Eminent White Pearl.
Inside the cabin there is a new steering wheel, a modified shifter and better materials. The car also gains three new trim options: Dark Mocha, Illustrious Piano Black and matte Bamboo.
On the technology side, the new 2016 Lexus ES comes with the new Lexus Safety System+ Package which has a Pre-Collision System, Intelligent High Beam headlights, High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist.
Under the hood of the Japanese model is a V6 3.5 liter engine rated at 268 horsepower matted to a six speed automatic transmission. If you want a more eco-friendly version, Lexus offers to you the ES 300h variant. It combines a 2.5 liter Atkinson cycle engine and an electric motor. The powertrain delivers 200 horsepower and can return 40 mpg city / 39 mpg highway / 40 mpg combined.
