To celebrate 87 years since the first launch of a Volvo car, the Swedish manufacturer offers a special edition of the new XC90.  
 
The 1,927 individually numbered cars celebrate the year Volvo was founded and they will be sold only online, marking a new sale strategy for the Scandinavians.
 
Called Volvo XC90 First Edition, the special cars will have numbered tread plates and a distinctive badge on the tailgate, Onyx Black exterior and 21-inch Inscription alloy wheels.
 
Inside the car there will be Nappa leather seats in Amber, a Charcoal leather dashboard and Linear Walnut inlays. The equipment list will be enriched with ventilated front seats, heated and electric second and third row of seats, Bowers & Wilkins audio systems with a 1,400 watts Class D amplifier and 19 speakers.
 
The retail price for the single specification First Edition is £68,000 and the online store will first open on September 3rd.
