Mercedes-Benz has published a teaser picture with the upcoming Vision Tokyo Concept. As you may imagine, the prototype will be officially showcased during the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, the event which will open its gates this week. 

The new Vision Tokyo Concept is a prototype for an autonomous minivan. Yes you have read correctly, it’s a minivan. It was described as being “autonomous, luxurious and progressive” and adopts a minimalist design.

The side door has a split opening, the headlights are sleek and the windscreen is very long. 

Thanks to the short front and rear overhangs and to the larger wheelbase, the car will feature a spacious cabin. As you can imagine, the concept will be packed with lots of new gadgets that will help the driver to monitories the car in the autonomous driving mode.

Under the hood of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz Vision Tokyo Concept will be an electric motor that is powered by a great set of batteries.
