McLaren has revealed their first ever regionally tailored model. Its name is 2015 McClaren 625C and it was specially developed for the Asian market.
As the name suggest, the power offered by the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine is now at 625 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and 610 Nm peak of torque available between 3,000 and 7,000 rpm.
As a result, the car can sprint from stand still to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.1 seconds, while the run from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) is done in 8.8 seconds (+0.4 seconds compared to the McLaren 650S). The Spider version of the new 625C can run the nought to 100 km/h in the same time as the Coupe, while the acceleration from 0 to 200 km/h is done in 9.0 seconds.
In addition, McLaren has updated the mechanical balance and new dampers have been mounted. According to the British car manufacturer, the 625C Coupe and 625C Spider will be available at first in Hong Kong and other countries from the Asia Pacific region will get the supercars in the following months.
