GMC has released today the first official teaser of the upcoming 2015 Canyon. The US-based pick-up will be officially unveiled at the 2014 North American International Auto Show.

The teaser picture doesn’t reveal much, but the upcoming 2015 GMC Canyon is described as a semi-serious duty cycle truck. As you can imagine, the Canyon will be influenced by the Chevrolet Colorado.

Under these conditions, the GMC Canyon is expected to carry the Colorado engine lineup. We are talking about a 2.5 liter four cylinder engine which can develop 193 horsepower and 249 Nm peak of torque and about the 3.6 liter V6 unit which is rated at 302 HP and 366 Nm of torque.

In 2016, the GMC Canyon could be offered with the all-new 2.8 liter Duramax turbodiesel unit. 

According to GMC, the upcoming 2015 Canyon will be unveiled on January 12th in a special press conference.
