Tata unveiled the all-new 2014 ZEST compact sedan and the 2014 BOLT hatchback model in New Delhi. The new Indian models have adopted the firm’s new "DesignNext" styling language. Furthermore, the Indian car manufacturer said that the new cars will be offered across the globe. 

"We at Tata Motors are delighted to showcase to the global market the much awaited next generation cars – the ZEST, a stunning and exciting new compact sedan and the BOLT, a dynamic hatch. These cars have been engineered for global markets, through global teams across India, UK and Korea to set new standards in their respective segments. These cars are a true representation of our Horizonext philosophy, with best-in-class offerings for performance that yet offers economy and efficiency", said ­Mr. Ranjit Yadav, President, Passenger Vehicles, Tata Motors.

On the outside, the new ZEST and BOLT are featuring a fresh design while under the bonnet they will come with 2 different engines.

The first engine is a four-cylinder 1.2 liter turbocharged Revotron gasoline unit which can deliver 85 horsepower and 140 Nm. The second motor available is a 1.3 liter Quadrajet diesel borrowed from Fiat. It is rated at 90 horsepower ready to pop-up at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm peak of torque.   

The Tata ZEST is 3,995 mm long, 1,695 mm wide and 1,570 mm tall. Inside the cabin, both Indian models get a new HARMAN infotainment system with a five inch touchscreen display.
