Caterham has released a few additional pictures and details about its new 2014 Seven 165. As you probably know, the 2014 Seven 165 was unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and it represents the new entry-level car for Caterham lineup. 

According to Caterham officials, the new Seven 165 will have a starting price of 14,995 GBP ($24,190) while the fully equipped version will cost from 17,995 GBP ($29,030). 

"As the Caterham Group as a whole grows and expands into new sectors and industries, our commitment to keep evolving the Seven is very much alive. The 165 offers something truly different to the entry-level market. It’s more economical, more accessible and every bit as fun on the road as other Sevens but has its own unique personality", said Graham Macdonald, Caterham Cars CEO.

Under the bonnet of the 2014 Caterham Seven 165 is a 660 cc turbocharged Euro6 compliant engine signed by Suzuki. It can deliver 80 horsepower and 79 lb-ft peak of torque. The engine resources are put to the ground via a Suzuki derived five speed manual gear box. Under these conditions, the 2014 Caterham Seven 165 will sprint from stand still to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, while the top speed is clocked at 100 mph. 

According to Caterham chief, the production of the Seven 165 will debut in January 2014 and first deliveries will begin later that spring.
