General Motors is hoping the new 2014 Cadillac ELR, a plug-in luxury coupe that goes on sale in January for $75,995.

The starting price includes a $995 destination charge but excludes tax, title, license and dealer fees, since GM said that the purchasers may have the right to obtain a tax credit up to $7,500. 

The best thing is that ELR features loads of advanced technology and safety features like a Safety Alert Seat, Forward Collision Alert, a Lane Departure Warning system, 8-inch capacitive-touch screen and LED lights. The ELR also features "Regen on Demand" system which allows the driver to temporarily regenerate energy from the vehicle’s momentum using steering-wheel paddles.

In terms of design, on the interior you’ll find what you’d expect in a Cadillac, meaning handcrafted leather, authentic wood grain and chrome trim. While on the exterior is pretty stylish and futuristic. 

Cadillac said the ELR will be able to travel 35 miles (56 km) on electricity alone and more than 300 miles (480 km) combined. A full charged from a 240-volt Level 2 source will take approximately 4.5 hours.
